Career Ups and Downs
The real name of Boosie is Torrence Hatch Jr. His cousin Young Dee introduced him to the hip hop and rap world at a young age. In the late 1990s, Boosie met with rapper C-Loc. Young Bleed and C-Loc took him under their wing and mentored him. Later on, he joined the group Concentration Camp. In 1996, he was the youngest member of the group at 14 years old.
Boosie debuted onto the scene as part of C-Loc’s fifth album, It’s a Gamble. At the age of 17, he rose to the status “one of the faces” of the Camp. He released his debut album Youngest of da Camp in 2000. At the time, he used the alias Lil Boosie.
In 2001, Torrence joined Trill Entertainment. The label helped him release his independent album, For My Thugz under the alias Lil Boosie.

Personal Life
As of June 2020, Boosie Badazz has eight children by six women. He does not believe in marriage. This is his choice. And his explanation is he doesn’t want to lose half of his fortune to his spouse.
In 2010, one of his ex-girlfriends got arrested trying to smuggle marijuana, codeine, and MDMA to Boosie in prison.
Torrence disclosed he has type 1 diabetes. He got diagnosed in his childhood. In November 2015, he disclosed another health problem, kidney cancer. Boosie underwent successful surgery to remove the problem.
