Born Ronald Ken Fujikawa in January 1961 in Los Angeles to Alice Mae Aoki and Yoshihiko Fred Fujikawa, Ron was an American with Japanese heritage.
He was the third child of Alice, a pianist, and epicurean, and Dr. Yoshihiko, a thoracic surgeon.
Ron, along with his brother Denny and his sister Carol grew up in Long Beach California.
He attended Wilson High School and then continued his education at Stanford University. There, he played on both the varsity football and baseball teams.
In 2002, he got married to Rebecca Dryer, and the couple remained together until his demise in 2012. Rebecca has not publicly dated anyone since then. She is an actress best known for her role in the movie The Making.
Before Ron, Rebecca Foster was married to David Foster, a Canadian musician and composer. They have three daughters together, Sara, Erin, and Jordan.
