<p>When you hear the name, <strong>Michael Jordan Hatch</strong>, you instantly think, wow, this is a nephew, a son, or someone else related to the great <em>Chicago Bulls</em> player. But that is not the case here. This might come as a surprise, but this celebrity child is the <strong>son of Boosie Badazz.</strong></p>
<p>We do not know the full story, but he was probably inspired by the great NBA player and star. Who knows, MJ might have been Boosie’s idol in childhood.</p>

<p>We have to start first with Boosie. Born <strong>Torrence Ivy Hatch</strong> in November 1982, he is known by his stage name. He was formerly known as <strong>Lil Boosie,</strong> and now he is <strong>Boosie Badazz</strong>. The <strong>American rapper</strong> began rapping in the 1990s as a member of the hip-hop collective <em>Concentration Camp</em>. In 2000, he eventually began his solo career by releasing his <strong>debut album</strong><em> Youngest of da Camp.</em></p>
<p>In 2009, he was sentenced to <strong>4 years in prison</strong> on drug and gun charges. Then, in 2010, he was indicted on<strong> first-degree murder charges</strong> and sentenced to <strong>10 years on multiple charges.</strong> Following five years in prison, Boosie was <strong>released in March 2014</strong>.</p>
<p>He was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, yet, he grew up on West Garfield Street. His mother, <strong>Connie Hatch</strong>, worked as a school principal. His father, <strong>Torrence Hatch Sr.,</strong> passed away in 1997. Boosie was diagnosed with <strong>type 1 diabetes</strong> as a child.</p>
<p>As for his music career, it was his cousin<strong> Young Dee</strong> that introduced him to <strong>Baton Rouge rapper C-Loc</strong> in the late 1990s. <strong>Young Bleed</strong> and C-Loc mentored Boosie and helped him join the group <em>Concentration Camp.</em> He joined them in 1998 as the youngest member. Others included<strong> Young Bleed, C-Loc, Happy Perez, Boo, J-Von, Lucky Knuckles, Max Minelli,</strong> and<strong> Lee Tyme.</strong></p>
<p>Boosie debuted on C-Loc’s fifth album in 2000. Once Young Bleed departed the group, Lil Boosie was in a prime position amongst the group and served as one of the faces of the <em>Camp.</em> At <strong>17 years of age,</strong> he recorded his debut album<em> Youngest of da Camp</em>. Happy Perez did most of the production, with C-Loc, Donkey, and Max Minelli appearing on the album.</p>
<p>Boosie joined <em>Trill Entertainment</em> in 2001 and released the album For My Thugz under his new alias Lil Boosie in 2002. In January 2005, he signed a deal with Warner Bros. Records.</p>
<p>In early 2006, <em>Trill</em> released <em>Bad Ass Mixtape Vol.1,</em> and soon his major label debut album <em>Bad Azz</em>. One of the biggest singles was <em>Zoom,</em> featuring<strong> Yung Joc.</strong> In 2007, still using the alias<em> Lil Boosie,</em> he released <em>Bad Azz Mixtapes Vol. 2.</em></p>
<p>In 2009, he presented his <strong>debut label</strong>, <em>Bad Azz Entertainment.</em> Through his own label, Boosie Badazz released <em>Thug Passion</em> in 2009. When he got in prison in 2010, he announced he wanted to move forward with his career. In September 2010, he released the album <em>Incarcerated.</em></p>
<p>After he was released from prison in 2014, he changed his name to Boosie Badazz and spoke about his prison sentence.</p>
<p>He said, <em>“I have about 500 songs at the moment. I feel that I&#8217;m making the best music I&#8217;ve ever made. The more I go through in life the better my music gets and it&#8217;s been crazy the last three years. I keep my music heartfelt and stick to making real music. I wouldn&#8217;t even say it&#8217;s hip hop music. My music is &#8216;reality rap&#8217;. Hip hop music can make you dance and bob your head, but it can&#8217;t make you cry or touch your heart like reality rap”.</em></p>
<p>In September 2013, judges related to his case agreed to return his hard drives and computers. That equipment contained a lot of music he had recorded before going to jail.</p>
<p>In October 2014, he finally changed his name and spoke about it in an interview. The American rapper said, <em>“I got tired of just people, grown men, like What up Lil Boosie? No, I am grown. It should be Mr! You know, I’m Boosie Badazz. I am a dad, man. Just take the shit off. That’s how I was feeling. Boosie Badazz is just like, more people say Badazz when they see me than Boosie”.</em></p>
