Michael Tell was born in the United States and was raised by his parents. His exact birth date and family history are unknown. Michael found his love for rock music while in high school. Michael Tell decided to start a career as a Rock music promoter shortly after he graduated from high school. His career span several decades before he retired in 2010. According to some sources, the Academy Award-winning actress got married to Tell while she was in a manic state. Her decision to tie the knot with Michael, who was subletting her apartment at the time, was impulsive.
According to People magazine, Patty Duke had just discovered that she was pregnant with her son Sean Austin, just before she got married to Michael. The couple separated after just 13 days, and the marriage was annulled.
Before her marriage with Michael Tell, Oscar-winning Patty Duke was first married to the director, Harry Falk, in 1965. He was older than her by 13 years. After four years together, they divorced in 1969. It was after her first failed attempted at marriage that she met and married Michael Tell. Following yet another divorce with Tell, Patty Duke started dating fellow actor, John Austin, and they got married in 1972. The couple welcomed their son, actor Mackenzie Austin in 1973. After 13 years of marriage, Patty and John ended their marriage in 1985.
Patty got married for a fourth time to drill sergeant, Michael Pearce. They tied the knot in 1986, and they remained together in a happy relationship until Patty died in 2016. Although they didn’t have a child together, the couple had adopted a son, Kevin, who was born in 1988.
Patty Duke was born Anna Marrie Patty Duke, in Manhattan, New York on 14 December 1946. Her family background is not known to the public.
However, Patty started out acting at a very young age. At 16, she played the role of Hellen Keller in The Miracle Worker. The movie was shot in 1962, and her performance was so believable that it earned her an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
A year later, aged 17, Patty played both roles of Cathy and Patty Lane, identical twins, in her show, The Patty Duke Show. The actress landed more serious roles soon after, portraying Neely O’Hara in the 1967 movie, Valley of the Dolls.
During her career, Patty Duke won two Golden Globes and three Emmy Awards. Between 1985 and 1988, she served as the president of the Screen Actors Guild for three years. The actress suffered and struggled with depression and bipolar disorder in 1982. Her mental health, according to her, was the reason she was not able to maintain her marriages.
Patty Duke died on 29 March 2016 from a ruptured intestine. Her death was announced by her agent, Mitchell K. Stubbs. However, Patty’s son with Michael Tell, Sean Austin released a statement on behalf of her family. The statement read:
“This morning, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, matriarch and exquisite artist, humanitarian, and champion for mental health, Anna PATTY DUKE Pearce, closed her eyes, quieted her pain, and ascended to a beautiful place.”
The statement went further to read;
“We celebrate the infinite love and compassion she shared through her work and compassion throughout her life.”
Sean Patrick Austin is an American actor, film producer, and director. He was born in Santa Monica, California on 25 February 1971. The actor is best known for his portrayal of Samwise Gamgee in The Lord of the Rings’ franchise.
Sean Austin studied arts in high school before furthering his education at the Stella Adler Conservatory and eventually graduating from the University of California in 1993 with a B.A. in History and English.
Sean started out acting at a very young age. He made his debut at the age of 10, in the movie Please Don’t Hit Me, Mom. Since then, he has starred in numerous films such as The B.R.A.T Patrol, Like Father Like Son, The War of the Roses, Harrison Bergeron, Courage Under Fire, Bulworth, The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and The Return of the King.
Sean is happily married to Miss Indiana Teen U.S.A. ’84, Christine Harrell, and they have three daughters together.
